Hi there! This is Afrin Hossain from beautiful Bangladesh. I completed my BBA (Honors) and MBA from Department of Marketing at University of Rajshahi. Currently, working as an Assistant Director (Training) at Department of Agricultural Marketing in Ministry of Agriculture. I am honored and glad to be one of the recipients of KOICA Scholarship Program 2024. KNU-KOICA Master’s Program in Agricultural Economics will enhance my knowledge as an efficient trainer and will assist me to grow professionally and personally. Because this program not only ensures the best quality education but also emphasis on learning about Korean culture!
Agriculture is the most crucial sector for the Economic development of Bangladesh. I firmly believe after acquiring vast knowledge from this program I will be more knowledgeable and skilled trainer and will be able to contribute positively for the economic development of my country. 감사합니다

Hello Everyone, I am Aikins Ebure from the Republic of Ghana in West Africa. I hold a Bachelor of science degree in Agriculture Technology: majored in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. I am a staff member of the Local Government Service, Ghana and working as Agriculture Officer at Gomoa East District Assembly,Potsin. I wholeheartedly thank God and KOICA-KNU for giving me this hard-to-find opportunity to persue a Master's degree program in Agriculture Economics at Kangwon National University. By the grace of God, after this program, I am optimistic about making more substantial contributions to Ghana Agriculture development and rural socio-economic development.

(안녕하세요,) Hello I am Kiiza Derick from the Republic of Uganda (The Pearl of Africa) an Agriculture based country in the East of Africa. With this background, I pursued Agriculture at all my levels of Education obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Science and Entrepreneurship from Uganda Christian University in 2023. Before attainment of the degree, using my basic Agricultural knowledge, I was appointed the Agricultural Extension Worker in Kagumba Subcounty in Kamuli District, Busoga region East of the country. With great enthusiasm in advancing my studies and skills in agriculture to better my knowledge and skills to help my community, I sought for scholarship from KOICA for a masters in Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University which by God’s grace I obtained, and currently pursuing in Korea till 2025. With this great opportunity in such an advanced country, I will be able to gain skills to solidify my knowledge to help local community advance in my country. Not only that but also learning the Korean culture, food and character as well as expanding my social capital with the different students with whom I am pursuing the course. I am grateful to God, KOICA, Korean Government and KNU my university for the opportunity granted. This is not for me alone but for Kagumba, Kamuli, Busoga and Uganda at large.

Professionally, I am an Agricultural Economist with keen interests in analyzing agricultural market trends, evaluating agricultural policies, and supporting agribusinesses in advancing agricultural productivity and sustainability through evidence-based economic analysis and research.
I’m currently undertaking MSc Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University under the KOICA Scholarship Program (CIAT) here in the Republic of Korea “The land of the Morning Calm” of which I look forward having the opportunity to engage with world-class scholars from diverse backgrounds, creating a network that will be invaluable for both my personal career growth and the development of agricultural sectors in Tanzania and beyond.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from the prestigious University of Calabar in Nigeria, where I developed a strong foundation in the principles of agriculture, rural development, and social sciences. My undergraduate studies provided me with invaluable insights into the challenges faced by rural communities, particularly in the context of resource management and environmental degradation. Currently, I am pursuing Master's program in Agricultural Resources Economics at Kangwon National University, South Korea under KOICA _KNU SP program 8th Batch. My name is Lily Anne Kibiten Na-oy, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness major in Agribusiness Marketing at Benguet State University. I am currently employed with the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Officer - Cordillera Administrative Region assigned under the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division.

Being part of the 8th Batch of the KOICA-KNU SP Program in Agricultural Economics is such a great honor. I will be forever grateful to this once in a lifetime opportunity, for this I know will help me grow personally and professionally. I want to maximize the knowledge and experiences gained in this Program upon my return to my office for the improvement of work output specifically on policy recommendations to further improve the agriculture industry. My name is Miskeno Michael Galgidhele from the "Magical Kenya" and the "Cradle of Mankind." I am a passionate Agricultural Economist with over a decade of professional experience in agricultural value chain financing and rural development finance. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Resource Management from Moi University, Kenya, and have further enhanced my expertise through advanced training in sustainable and development finance at both the University of Oxford and the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).
Currently, I serve as a Senior Credit Analyst and Green Finance Specialist at the Agricultural Finance Corporation, where I have spearheaded agricultural debt transactions, green financing initiatives, and portfolio management. My contributions have significantly impacted projects such as IFAD’s RK-FINFA and the World Bank’s SAFER projects, benefiting SACCOs, microfinance institutions (MFIs), and smallholder farmers.
I am honored to be a 2024 KOICA fellow, pursuing a Master’s in Agricultural Economics at the prestigious Kangwon National University. While in Korea, I am eager to immerse myself in its language, culture, and world-renowned cuisine.감사합니다.

안녕하세요 Hello! My name is Philbert MUNYANKINDI, greetings from the beautiful nation of Rwanda, often referred to as the "Land of a Thousand Hills." I hold a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from the University of Rwanda, and I bring over seven years of working experience in agriculture-related projects.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with organizations such as World Vision Rwanda, where I contributed to the Thrive 2030 project, aimed at helping rural communities transition out of extreme poverty. Also serving in the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources within the Planning Directorate, focusing on strategic agricultural development.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University, with KOICA support. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and look forward to furthering my knowledge and skills in sustainable agricultural practices.
