My name is Adeline Iraguha, and I am from the beautiful Republic of Rwanda, the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Rural Development and Agribusiness from the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine.

I served as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Officer in Nyamasheke District, Western Province, for eight years.

I am truly thankful to Almighty God, to the Republic of Rwanda, and to the Republic of Korea for their collaboration through KOICA-KNU, for selecting me as one of the 2025 KOICA Scholarship beneficiaries, and to my family and friends—especially my husband—for their support.

I am now pursuing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University. I am very grateful, and I firmly believe that through this scholarship I will gain more skills, knowledge, and an understanding of Korean culture, so that I can make a significant contribution to the agricultural sector of my country.

Greetings, my name is Albert Sackie, and I am overwhelmed by this great opportunity to pursue my academic and professional goals in South Korea. I am from Liberia, a country located on the west coast of Africa. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in General Agriculture from the University of Liberia, William R. Tolbert, College of General Agriculture and Forestry.

I work as a Food Program Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Monrovia, Liberia.

I have always been passionate about Agricultural Economics. I am career-driven and have a strong sense of humor, which allows me to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds. I am always determining to make meaningful contributions to my field of study and society at large.

My name is Alieu Samah, I’m from Sierra Leone where you can find a beautiful lion mountains and beautiful beaches in west Africa. I completed my bachelor of science degree with honours in Agricultural Economics at Njala University Sierra Leone. My previous research area was Agricultural policy, development of Agriculture risk management strategies for rural farmers in Sierra Leone.

I’m currently working with the ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in Sierra Leone, as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E), in the department of Planning, Evaluation, Monitoring and Statistics Division (PEMSD).

After completing my master’s degree program at Kangwon National University (KNU) in South Korea, I hope that the advanced knowledge and skill that I will be getting from this program would contribute in developing the Agricultural sector of Sierra Lone upon returning to my country.

I will like to say a very big thanks to the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA-SP) and the administration of the Kangwon National University (KNU) for giving me this opportunity to stay in South Korea through out my time of study.

Hello! I am Anil Tiwari from Nepal, The land of Everest. I am now pursuing a Master's degree in Agriculture Economics at Kangwon National University, Chuncheon city in South Korea through KOICA scholarship Program enrolled in 2025 AD. Before coming to Korea, I have been working as government employee on the post of Agriculture Officer under Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Nepal. I have passed BSC Agriculture with major in Agriculture economics and Marketing from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Rampur, Chitwan under Tribhuvan University.

I feel really happy for this opportunity to study in an international environment which broaden my knowledge, skill and give me the confidence to face global challenges with new perspective. I hope, with the completion of my study here I can contribute with introducing innovative ideas, modern technology, best practice, efficient planning and policy level decision making in my country.

I am Tushabe Brian from Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University, South Korea, through the KOICA Scholarship Program. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management from Makerere University and have professional experience in both agricultural finance and extension services.
Presently, I serve as an Agriculture Officer with Ntungamo District Local Government in Uganda, where I work with farmers to improve productivity, promote agribusiness, and implement government agricultural programs for food security and rural development. Previously, I worked with Centenary Bank Uganda for four years as an Agricultural Loans Officer, supporting farmers and agribusinesses to access credit for production, value addition, and cooperative development.
I am grateful to the Government of Uganda and KOICA for this scholarship opportunity, which enables me to broaden my expertise in agricultural economics. Upon completion of my studies, I am committed to returning home and applying the knowledge and skills gained to strengthen Uganda’s agricultural sector, empower farming communities, and promote sustainable rural transformation.

I’m from Malawi, fondly known as the Warm Heart of Africa for the warmth, kindness, and hospitality of its people. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), and I currently work as a government economist in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, within the Department of Economic Planning and Development, specifically in the Poverty Reduction and Social Protection Division. In my role, I focus on designing and implementing policies that promote inclusive growth, reduce vulnerability, and strengthen social protection systems.

This opportunity to pursue a Master’s in Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University (KNU) through the KOICA scholarship perfectly aligns with my passion for research and evidence-based policymaking. Beyond academic training, experiencing Korean culture and engaging with its people will broaden my perspective, enhance my adaptability, and strengthen my professional skills. I believe the knowledge and exposure I gain from this program will help me contribute meaningfully to poverty reduction, wealth creation, and building resilience in Malawi.

My name is Karangwa Jean Bosco, from Rwanda, a beautiful country often referred to as the “land of a thousand hills.” I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness obtained from the National University of Rwanda. Currently, I am working at Rwanda Polytechnic -Huye College, a higher learning institution with various departments, including the Department of Agricultural Engineering.
Beyond my professional role, I have made contributions in the field of research. I published a research paper titled “The Perception of Parents in Teaching and Learning on Students’ Academic Performance” in the Global Scientific Journal (GSJ), Volume 10, Issue 12, December 2022 (Online ISSN: 2320-9186).
Through my academic journey, professional engagement, and research contributions, I have strengthened my passion for knowledge and innovation, particularly in the fields of agricultural economics and education. I am enthusiastic about advancing my expertise further and contributing to global knowledge exchange at Kangwon National University.

I am Jyoti Chhetri from the land of Mount Everest and the birth place of lord Buddha, Nepal! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science with specialization in Agricultural economics from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, under Tribhuvan University.

I currently serve as an Agricultural Economist at the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management, and Cooperatives in Gandaki Province, where I focus on agricultural planning, policy development, and reporting.



I am honored to be a 2025 KOICA fellow, pursuing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at the prestigious Kangwon National University. Through this program, I aim to deepen my expertise and apply it to bring positive change in the field of agriculture in my home country.



I also look forward to both personal and professional growth through this enriching academic and cultural experience in Korea. I am excited to engage with global peers, learn from distinguished professors, and immerse myself in Korean culture and values during my stay.

Through the KOICA Scholarship Program, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University. My motivation is to gain practical knowledge and skills that can support my current work, while also experiencing academic life in Korea and building connections with peers from different countries.

My name is Makagbeh K. Kanneh, a Liberian with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Agriculture from the University of Liberia, currently serving as a Food Security Officer within the Division of Food Security and Nutrition at the Ministry of Agriculture, Liberia.

I am honored to be pursuing a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea, under the prestigious KOICA Scholarship Program. This initiative aims to empower emerging leaders from partner countries to foster innovation, promote inclusive development, and contribute to building safe and sustainable societies.

Since I arrived in Korea, the experience has been both enriching and inspiring. I have had the opportunity to gain perspective from qualified professors. The support from the KOICA SP Office staff and the warm welcome and accommodation from the fellow students at Kangwon National University have further enhanced my academic journey.

Hello everyone. I am Md Abdullah Al Mamun from Bangladesh, The Land of evergreen beauty. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree (BBA) in Finance at The Jagannath University, Dhaka. In My Country, I have been working as an Assistant Director (Training) in the Department of Agricultural Marketing (DAM) under the Ministry of Agriculture.
I am privileged and honored to be selected as one of the participants of the prestigious KOICA-KNU scholarship program in 2025. Now I am enrolled at Kangwon National University and studying master’s degree in Agricultural Economics in South Korea.
I am very excited to this journey of enhancing my career as an Agricultural Economist. In my country I worked as head specialist at the Department of Veterinary and Livestock Development of the of Namangan region. I'm currently studying for a master's degree at the agricultural and economics resources department of the Kangwon National University. That's why I'm very grateful to the Korean government, KOICA which is providing my study here. After graduation returning back to my country I want to work at the ministry of economy and contribute to our economy with the knowledge which I acquired from this University.

I hell from the beautiful country of rocks blessed with vast flora and fauna. I am an Agricultural Economist under the Markets and Trade Section of the Business Development, Markets and Trade Directorate in the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development. My major roles include improving farmers access to agricultural markets, trade promotion and trade facilitation. I graduated from the Bindura University of Science Education with a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree Majoring in Agriculture Economics and Management. I really appreciate the opportunity presented to me through the KOICA-KNU Scholarship Program for a Masters in Agriculture Economics. This program will definitely improve the set of skills I have thus, enabling me to serve my government well aiding it's quest to attain an upper middle income economy by 2030 as this is anchored on agriculture as 60% of the population depend on agriculture for their livelihoods.

My name is Tanus Supasai from Bangkok ,Thailand. I gained an undergraduate degree in Cooperative Economics from Kasetsart University back in 2016.

My current position is Cooperative Technical Officer at the Saraburi Provincial Cooperative Office, which is part of the Department of Cooperative Promotion under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. I have full responsibility for promoting and supervising agricultural cooperatives in Muaklek and Phrabutthabat districts; this defined role is crucial to improving agricultural cooperative and economic well-being of local farmers, a purpose to which I have a profound commitment.

In order to fulfil this task , beneficial to both myself and the entire team back in Saraburi, it is thought best to gain further in-depth knowledge with regard to Agricultural Economics at Kangwon National University (KNU) in South Korea. It is my firm belief that this program could widen my knowledge and experience in the aforementioned field based on my tutorial so far , and with in-class tutoring and field trips it would deliver my expectations at it’s peak.

I take this opportunity to extend my appreciation and gratitude to the KOICA-KNU scholarship program for providing me with this life-changing opportunity, which serves a dual purpose in that I gain the benefit of my academic achievements and, to have a good insight into Korean culture thereby a notch up for other cultures . It also gives me the opportunity to interact with students of different nationalities and learn about their cultures and establish a good bond which in future would assist as we all share a common theme in our studies thereby interacting in years to come by exchanging ideas to further our development in our country, as defined by team working.
